With the way 2020 has been, it seems like ages ago some of the best in the fantasy football industry got together virtually to put their squads together for the third annual King’s Classic. Finally, as 2020 comes to a close, so does the Classic. Here we go with the recap of the finals. Who are the champs? You’re about to find out!
Jim Brown Division
In the Jim Brown Snake Division Championship, Michael Fabiano of SI.com was able to top ESPN’s Mike Clay by a score of 167.6 to 160.82. Fabiano’s squad was powered to a victory by the huge Monday Night Football performances of Stefon Diggs with 41.5 and Josh Allen with 32.3 points respectively. Clay’s team was led by a 29-point outing from Tom Brady, and both Diontae Johnson and Tee Higgins topping 21 points but it wasn’t enough to hang on for the title win.
The Auction Division saw Corey Parson from SI.com make it a clean sweep for the site in the Brown Division with a 142.52 to 97.88 victory over Howard Bender of Fantasy Alarm. Parson was led to the championship by rookie wideouts CeeDee Lamb and Tee Higgins with 23.4 and 21.9 points respectively. Another rookie, running back Jonathan Taylor chipped in 19.4 points in the win. Bender’s team was led by wide receiver Allen Robinson as the only player to eclipse the 20 point mark for the week. Jalen Hurts and Hayden Hurst were the next top scorers with a combined total of 33 points as the Fantasy Alarm team came up just short.
A huge congratulations to Michael Fabiano and Corey Parson for bringing both Jim Brown Division crowns back to SI.com!
